“Caught in the Crossfire” opens with Detective Briggs (Klein) and Detective Shepherd (Rodriguez) racing across town with Tino (Jackson), an informant for the police department. The three arrive at their destination under a hail of gunfire from fellow officers and suspects that are in the middle of a shootout with one suspect who is wanted in the shooting death of a fellow officer. As they exit the vehicle, Briggs immediately engages the suspect. Shepherd becomes aware that Tino has been wounded and pulls him from the car and tries to tend to his wound. Within moments of their arrival, Shepherd and Briggs gear-up to further engage the suspect and bring him to justice which ultimately leads to the suspect’s death.
